2 weeks old Today
Yesterday I was changing Brayden's diaper and my finger hit his umbilical cord and it fell off. It freaked me out but I'm glad to see it gone. My little man is two weeks old today. It feels like he has been here longer. I have waited my whole life for him and I hope he knows how much we love him. This Christmas will be filled with lots of babies on both sides of our family. Merry Christmas Everyone!!
*I'll take pictures later he is sleeping in my lap so I better enjoy this silence lol

Brayden William White
December 4, 2011 Our lives would begin to change forever. At 8:15 pm my water broke and we were off to the hospital. I know labor is suppose to be hard, but WOW hard does not begin to describe what contractions feel like. After the DR gave me some medicine I was knocked out for a couple of hours. The doctor noticed that every time I would have a contraction Brayden's heartbeat would drop. She was very concerned, so in the end we decided to go ahead and take Brayden by having a c-section. I was nervous but at the same time I was exhausted and I just wanted my baby in my arms. In the end, God was looking out for our little man. The doctor said that Brayden had his cord wrapped around his throat. If I had tried to push and not do the c-section he could have possibly been strangled. Brayden William White entered this world at 3:59 am on December 5, 2011. He weighed 7 lbs 11 ounces (I remember it by 7-11 lol) and he was 20 inches. I think one of those inches was gained by Brayden's poor cone head when he was born. The hospital said it was from Brayden staying in the birth canal for too long. When we went coastal peds for his checkup they said he was 19 inches. I'm glad his head has shaped up much better. Brian was freaking out at first when he saw him. After two days in the hospital we finally were able to make our way home on December 7th. Our first stop was to see Grandma Mansfield! I am so glad to start our lives with our new little family.

38 Weeks
These pictures were taken two weeks ago. I was about 36 weeks. This was another one of my favorites. I love that this weekend has been a long one. I have got a lot accomplished thanks to my mama! I have most of my Christmas shopping done and wrapped....wooop wooop! Now Brayden just needs to wait for Twilight to come out and he can have 110% of my attention. Do you think this little man can wait to come until after Friday? Lets pray so b/c tickets are already purchased. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Now off to church and lesson plans for the week. We are going to do a science unit on balance and motion. I found some spinners in dollar tree so the students can do three different trials to see how long the spinners can spin. I'll keep you updated ;)

38 weeks- Hurry up!
Wow I stink at keeping up with a blog. School has kept me so busy that I have hardly had time to think about the upcoming pain I'm about to feel. I am very thankful that so far everything has gone pretty well. The only joy I get from weekly visits to the doc is the fact that I get to hear his heartbeat. It is the best sound! I decided to finish filling out the paperwork for the hospital and our bags are all packed. Do you think he will come now? I love my diaper bag and the burp cloth (Thank you Sarah and Mary). I love the fact that when I call people now they pick up on the first ring and say.....BABY? Nope just me wanting to chat haha tricked you ;) I'm going to try to stay out of trouble (no speeding tickets or anything) until this baby gets here. Love you all and thank you for all that you have done for us. We are very blessed.

Happy Anniversary
A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance and tenacity. The order varies for any given year. Happy 2 year Anniversary Honey! Brian and I have got to the point where we really do not know what to get for each other. We decided to take a weekend trip to Williamsburg....and of course Bella got to go!

Glucose Test
This face is how I am going to look for my next Dr.'s appointment. I have to do the glucose test next time I go. Friends have told me this stuff tastes like pure sugar. EWWWWW! The Dr said the heartbeat and my measurements were good on this visit so I hope I get a good report next time as well. Hurry up November!

Grandma Love
You do not really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother. ~Proverb
No matter what bad news I get or how much I cry grandma always says, "shut up that crying. It isn't worth it" Haha. No one is fortunate enough to have a grandma like me :)
Now if I can learn to sew, cook, and think a little more like her maybe I'll be a little better off. Each day will bring new challenges, but it is nice to hear an honest response when your blubbering like a two year old, Shut Up once in a while.

Fancy Nancy
| This week we had foreign language week at school. My aunt is the art teacher at my school and she helped me to create the main character for our theme. I love Fancy Nancy! We decided to take Fancy Nancy to France. |
On a personal note, I will find out the sex of my brother's baby soon. I will be an Aunt twice this year. I am praying for a boy because I know that is what my brother would like :) Plus I know what it is like to have a big brother and it's pretty great (most of the time lol). Off to get ready for another week.

Last NON text book
This was a great book! I love reading about how friendships evolve and change as we get older. It is hard to accept that as we get out of college and get married, it becomes a challenge to remain close. This is the description of the book:
Meet Sophie, Eva, and John. In college, they did everything together. Then they drifted apart. Now, twenty years later, they're about to reunite to compare lives, talk about the past, and plan for the future. But will it bring them closer together or tear them apart? Sophie was accustomed to living her life on the straight and narrow path. She married an MBA, morphing into the perfect wife and soccer mom. Now, with her son grown and her divorce final, she can finally become the woman she was meant to be - whoever she is. Eva's passionate temperament was certain to lead her down the road to becoming a poet - not an aggressive, sophisticated advertising executive with a trail of lovers in her wake. Smart, powerful, and too busy for anything deeper than sex, Eva likes everything on a temporary basis, until she meets a hot, young thing who could destroy the only friendships she truly treasures. As a selfless lawyer, John gives his all to pro bono work, never thinking about his own life. He'll get to marriage and kids later. Besides, there's only one woman he's ever been truly crazy about, and for twenty years, he's carried that torch painfully alone. Or has he? What starts as a warm reunion soon gives way to old insecurities, hidden passions, romantic misadventures, new secrets, and shocking betrayal... I purchased it on half.com.
