Lonely Church

This past Sunday I took Brayden to Knotts Island Methodist.  It is so sad to see how the church has lost so many members.  Many of the older people in the church have passed away and the younger generation simply is not there.  I can understand completely that by the time the weekend comes everyone feels exhausted and it can be difficult to set an alarm clock for Sunday.  However, I hope people on the island will consider taking their children to the church and get the church back to what it used to be at one time.  I know that most of the pastors we had on the island became people I could trust.  I could go to Robert and Betsy Green anytime I needed to talk and many teenagers do not have that kind of outlet. Thank you to those people who continue to do more than their part on Knotts Island.  I hope Brayden will grow up knowing that church is not just a place, but part of his family.

Happy Valentine's Day (early)

Brayden is getting SO big! He is now two months old (Feb. 5th).  It is nice to see him look plump and happy.  He is smiling all the time!  You can touch his face and he will break out in a big smile.  He is getting more predictable with his feeding times.  I am feeling braver about going to town and avoiding an unhappy baby.  Once you feed him you have a good three hours to get as much done as possible.  We went to town with mama and daddy last weekend.  Daddy was trying to treat the stroller like a go cart with Brayden in it haha.  A little scary....but it is nice to see daddy enjoying spending time with Brayden.  I want Brayden to have the type of relationship with his grandparents that I have with mine.  Grandma is my best friend and one of the only people I will tolerate when I am mad.  She worries so much about Brayden that she wants to show up at every doctor appointment just to hear the DR say he is okay.  I love to watch him with her because it makes her so happy to hold him and rock him.
I am very lucky we do not have to take him out during this winter weather.  Brayden gets to stay with Nana in his warm house.
YAY for GRANDPARENTS :)

Winter has not been that cold, but bring on SPRING BREAK so I can have a whole week with my beautiful baby :)
